Yes automation testing cannot take place of manual testing because manual testing cannot be replace by automation. Automation requires expertise in testing and it take time to create script while in manual testing it does not and you cannot write script for all functionalites in less time here take time and effort to write script and experty so manual testing covers all areas in less time and easy and automation testing requries where we have to do regression testing to run the test against same script all.time
