Well languages are just the way to provide instructions to Selenium Webdriver. Most of the languages you have mentioned such as Python, Ruby and Java has matured libraries to support latest selenium commands. So I guess you should move your focus to using Good machine, IDE and Grid to improve your performance.
If you are planning to execute selenium on your own machine/developer's machine, you should consider which IDE you use. As IDE is the one which allocates memory to the process running under it.
If you're planning to execute on remote machine, you should consider how your node setup should be. And memory and heap size of your remote machine. Also you should consider cleaning your temperory file folder more often.
